We have brought much information and photos from Lillejords in the US and Canada, and much less from the Norwegian branch. An obvious reason is that the primary subject with this web site was to collect information about those who left in 1866 – and their descendents.
Another reason is that we don’t have so many photos from Beiarn from the 19th century. People were poor. That’s why they left for America. Advanced technology, as a camera, was not available for ordinary people. We have photos of Sakri Olai and Elisabet Anna, both taken by their well known uncle, Ole Tobias.
Still, we have some later photos and a lot of information. That will come in the booklet at the reunion, but we want to present some samples.
First the story of Dortea Oline and her descendents.
